Description
The Microjet® Stake is used for supporting a rigid riser fitted to the lateral pipeline or as part of a “Microjet®Stake Assembly”.
In the first instance the Stake’s purpose is to keep the Rigid Riser in a vertical position to ensure correct wetting of the area to be irrigated.
In the second instance, as part of a Stake Assembly a piece of 4mm or 5mm flexible PVC tubing is connected to the Microjet® Stake either directly or using a rigid riser clipped into the stake or a Microjet® Jet Adaptor allowing the stake to be moved as and when necessary.
The Microjet® Stake is made from high quality UV stabilised plastic and is robustly built to ensure longevity in the sun. It is available in 150mm, 200mm, 300mm and 450mm lengths and a number of different configurations.
There are two broad categories of Stakes (Clip Head stakes and Barbed Head Stakes):
-
- The Clip Head Stakes require a rigid riser or jet adaptor (BH35 or BH38) to be clipped into the stake. The tubing is then connected to the rigid riser by means of a riser adaptor (BG02) or the barb on the jet adaptor. We do not recommend screwing a threaded jet directly into the flexible PVC tube as this could blow out if the tube gets hot. Barbed jets are acceptable for use on clip head stakes.
- The Barbed Head Stakes have a barbed adaptor built in and the jet simply screws into the top of the Stake and the tubing fits over the barb.

BS100 | 150mm | The 150mm Microjet® STANDARD Stake is ideal for small shrubs and pot plants. It has a curved slot into which the riser or flexible pipe fits, with the pipe connecting of the side of the stake not the bottom. This helps to avoid kinking the feed pipe when using in potplants.
BS200 | 200mm | The 200mm Microjet®STANDARD stake is the baby brother of the 300 and 450mm and looks the same. Its main use is for small shrubs and bushes or any application where the height of the jet is not critical.
BS300 | 300mm | The 300mm Microjet®STANDARD stake is the normal agricultural and household stake. It is used on any application where the jet needs to be supported.
BS450 | 450mm | The 450mm Microjet®STANDARD stake is used where the jet needs to be supported higher off the ground. It is also perfect for soft ground where the extra length helps keep the stake from falling over.
BP300 | 300mm | BP300: The Microjet® POLY STAKE is the same as the standard stake but made from polypropylene instead of ABS. This gives the stake more flexibility should it be mishandled. It also tends to last longer in extreme temperatures than the standard (ABS) Stake.
BP450 | 450mm | The Microjet® POLY STAKE is the same as the standard stake but made from polypropylene instead of ABS. This gives the stake more flexibility should it be mishandled. It also tends to last longer in extreme temperatures than the standard (ABS) Stake. This is the longer version for softer ground or to support the jet higher.
BPS300B | 300mm | The Microjet®POLY SLIMSTAKE is a slim version of the Poly Stake. It is a more economical and less tough stake and should not be used in areas of high traffic or extreme weather. It is ideal for landscaping or home gardens. This one has a clip similar to the poly and standard stake into which a rigid riser can be clipped.
BPS300C | 300mm | The Microjet®POLY SLIMSTAKE is a slim version of the Poly Stake. It is a more economical and less tough stake and should not be used in areas of high traffic or extreme weather. It is ideal for landscaping or home gardens. The barbed Poly Slimstake has a head into which the jet can be screwed with a barb below onto which the tubing can be fitted. This is ideal for use where a rigid riser is not required.
BPS450B | 450mm | This is a longer version of the BPS300B above which is suitable for sandy soils or to lift the jet higher.
BPS450C | 450mm | This is a longer version of the BPS300C above which is suitable for sandy soils or to lift the jet higher.
BBS300B | 300mm | The Microjet® BLUE HEAD SLIMSTAKE is a version of the Clip Head Polyslimstake and has a head made of acetal which is designed to fit a jet with a pressfit base. The head is blue to easily differentiate it from the normal Slimstake.
BBS450B | 450mm | The Microjet® BLUE HEAD SLIMSTAKE is a version of the Clip Head Polyslimstake and has a head made of acetal which is designed to fit a jet with a pressfit base. The head is blue to easily differentiate it from the normal Slimstake. This longer version is used in deep sandy soils or to lift the jet higher off the ground.
BSH100 | The Microjet® BARBED STAKEHEAD is designed to fit on the top of an Aluminium Stake where much longer stakes are required and it is not feasible to make them out of plastic. Usually anything over 450mm would be aluminium.
BH40 | The FLEXIBLE TUBE GUIDE fits on the side of the slimstake to hold the tube alongside the stake. It serves the same purpose as the hole in the standard and poly stakes. |
