GROMMETS & GROMMET FITTINGS

Emjay® and Full Flow® Grommets and Grommet fittings are used for take-offs usually from large size PVC pipe (or sometimes Polyethylene pipe) to Microjet® or drip systems. The correct size hole is cut into the PVC with a hole saw and the grommet inserted then finally the grommet fitting is pushed into the grommet. It is recommended that the grommet fitting is first connected to the offtake polypipe before being inserted into the grommet. It is not recommended that Petroleum Jelly is used as a lubricant. A silicon lubricant though more expensive is better.
